چکیده

In this paper, we proposed a high data rate, low-power, and large random jitter tolerance wideband signaling (WBS) transceiver for human body channel communication (BCC). At the transmitter part, a spread spectrum clock generator is applied to reduce the electromagnetic emission. Subsequently, the proposed WBS transmitter uses a NRZI encoding scheme to transmit the data. At the receiver part, a blind 7X oversampling clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit with the vote mechanism can effectively recover the data which distorted by the frequency drift and random noise from body antenna effects. The proposed WBS transceiver is implemented in a standard performance 90nm CMOS process, and the core area is 0.15 mm. The supported data rate of the proposed WBS transceiver ranges from 1Mb/s to 40Mb/s. In addition, the power consumption is 1.94mW at 40Mb/s, and the bit energy is 0.0485 nJ/b.

Performance Evaluation of MB-OFDM based UWB System

This paper investigates the Multi-band OFDM (MB-OFDM) based physical (PHY) layer proposal for IEEE 802.15.3a working group on short-range high data-rate Ultra-wide-Band (UWB) communications. An overview of the MB-OFDM PHY layer architecture with its various parameters is presented and the optimal choice of critical parameters is discussed. Next, we derive the theoretical un-coded Bit Error Rate...

Design and Implementation of an All - CMOS 802 . 11 a Wireless LAN Chipset

The tremendous growth in wireless LANs has generated interest in technologies that provide higher data rates and greater system capacities. The IEEE 802.11a standard [1], based on coded OFDM modulation [2], provides nearly five times the data rate and at least 20 times the overall system capacity compared to the incumbent 802.11b wireless LAN systems [3]. This article describes the design chall...

Weighted Convolution Measure Algebras Characterized by Convolution Algebras

The weighted semigroup algebra Mb (S, w) is studied via its identification with Mb (S) together with a weighted algebra product *w so that (Mb (S, w), *) is isometrically isomorphic to (Mb (S), *w). This identification enables us to study the relation between regularity and amenability of Mb (S, w) and Mb (S), and improve some old results from discrete to general case.

Dual-polarization multi-band optical OFDM transmission and transceiver limitations for up to 500 Gb/s uncompensated long-haul links.

A number of critical issues for dual-polarization single- and multi-band optical orthogonal-frequency division multiplexing (DP-SB/MB-OFDM) signals are analyzed in dispersion compensation fiber (DCF)-free long-haul links. For the first time, different DP crosstalk removal techniques are compared, the maximum transmission-reach is investigated, and the impact of subcarrier number and high-level ...

Robust Multi-Branch Tomlinson-Harashima Precoding in Cooperative MIMO Relay Systems

This paper proposes the design of robust transceivers with Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) for multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) relay systems with amplify-andforward (AF) protocols based on a multi-branch (MB) strategy. The MB strategy employs successive interference cancellation (SIC) on several parallel branches which are equipped with different ordering patterns so that each branch p...
